The Continental Cup is the curling equivalent of the golf's Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup, and is played between Canada and Europe.

Tonight was history written, when Europe for the first time managed to defend its title and win two years in a row.

"Slightly nervous..."

Big match winner was Swedish Oskar Eriksson, who in the closing mixed match decided with a hard knockout.

- I was actually a little nervous there, for the first time in a long time. I knew there would be small margins, he says on the Canadian Curling Association's website, where he can't hide his great joy.

- Great! We are the same team as last year, and we played them all week and deserved this.

In addition to Eriksson, the European team included seven other Swedish players: Anna Hasselborg, Sara McManus, Agnes Knochenhauer, Sofia Mabergs, Niklas Edin, Chriistoffer Sundgren and Rasmus Wranå.
