Serena's first victory in three years: "It's been a long time"

It was Williams' 73rd WTA title and since Williams took his 23rd Grand Slam title in Australia three years ago, the American has lost five finals.

- I played against a very good opponent and I think it was a very good match, Williams says, highlighting his American teammate.

I feel fortunate and blessed to be able to be so healthy that I can play here, says Williams who has had major illness problems, not least in connection with her pregnancy a couple of years ago. It was the first title since Williams became the mother of Alexis Olympia.
