Today, a new variant of sprint relay is being tested in the narrow city railway in Dresden. There will be eleven turns, where the teams will alternate every lap on the 650 meter long track. And this is something that Swedish law has had to put extra focus on how they think about all the changes.
- I think it will be important to avoid clutter and get into it. For the men, for example, there are 16 teams, so it is important to avoid the mess. We have a thought to be far ahead. You don't have to be behind if you can avoid it, says trainer Stefan Thomson.
He doesn't know what Thomson thinks about the new arrangement, but wants to see how it works before deciding.
- I've never been there. We have to wait and see, and speak afterwards. But it can probably be good.
