Andreas Palicka says after the premiere that it was a match he had been looking forward to for a long time, and that it lived up to expectations.
- A little indescribable feeling actually. With a home run and premiere in a European Championship that you have been looking forward to for a long time. It went well for the whole team, went well for me, it was an amazing feeling today. And the fans, absolutely incredible, says Palicka to SVT Sport.
When Sweden won, Palicka admits that it was a weight that eased from the shoulders.
- It's very important. In part we have had quite a lot of pressure on us. We have goals to defend and today I think we are hitting a hundred percent. There is no talk about it, everyone shows that we have become a few years older and that the experience is there when it is really needed.
The fact that there was so much audience was something that created an extra press, which Palicka, after all, enjoyed.
