Atletico Madrid triggered a surprise of a large caliber and qualified for the Spanish Super Cup football after they beat Barcelona 3-2 in an exciting semi-final match of the Spanish Super Cup, which is hosted by Saudi Arabia at the "Radio jewel" stadium in Jeddah.

The substitute Cookie opened the scoring for Atleti from his first touch in the match in the first minute of the second half, then Argentine star Lionel Messi equalized for Barcelona (51), before his teammate Antoine Griezmann added the goal 2-1 in the 62nd minute.

Then Al-Attali equalized the score with a goal scored by Alvaro Morata (81 from a penalty kick), then his teammate, Angel Correa, scored the winning goal 3-2 four minutes before the end of the original time of the match.

The referee Jose Luis Gonzales canceled two goals for Barcelona from Messi (60) and Gerard Pique (74), after resorting to the assistant video referee system (var), due to infiltration and touching a hand, respectively.

With this, Atletico Madrid qualified to the final match next Sunday on the same stadium, where they will face Real Madrid, who qualified after their victory over Valencia 3-1 on Wednesday in the first semi-final match.
