Al-Jazira team will play the Arab Gulf Cup semi-finals today, at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, at 18:15, in front of Al-Ahly youth, amid impressive absences in its ranks of up to five players. On the other hand, Al-Ahly youth threatens Al-Jazira with a four-group stage, when it won 4-0.

Five players are absent from the landowner, who are participating with the Olympic Cup in U-23 in Thailand, Abdullah Ramadan, Khalifa Al Hammadi, Muhammad Al-Attas, Zayed Al-Amiri and Abdul Rahman Al-Amri, while Al-Ahly youth lacks only two players, Khalfan Al-Noubi and Eid Khamis.

In practice, Al-Jazeera is considered the most affected by the absence, since Al-Hammadi, Abdullah Ramadan and Muhammad Al-Attas are among the main elements that Dutch coach Marcel Kaiser relies on. He finds it difficult to find the alternative, with Walid Hussein present, while Khalfan Al-Nubi does not participate with the team, and the same is true of Mohammed Jumaa (Pele) who was excluded from the Olympic list due to injury.

Al-Jazeera hopes that the scenario of the group stage will not be repeated when it fought the match amid many absences, due to the internationals joining the teams, which contributed to the victory of Al-Ahly youth. Al-Jazeera’s most prominent problems will also be in guarding the goal, especially with the suspicions surrounding Ali Khasif’s participation due to his injury, and the joining of goalkeeper Abdul Rahman Al-Amri to the Olympic, as Adel Abu Bakr is considered the most prominent candidate for participation.

For its part, Al-Ahly youths are playing the match with high spirits, after achieving a valuable victory over Al-Ain in the 12th round of the Arab Gulf League, to widen the difference in the top of the standings by five points from Sharjah, and the team regained the services of its distinguished goalkeeper, Majid Nasser, and is ready to participate.

Al-Ahly youth are betting on the big advantage against Al-Jazira, as they have not lost to it in the last four games, by winning in three games and drawing in one match.
