A fan of Hellas Verona has been sanctioned with five years away from the world of football for having been the protagonist of racist dye chants towards striker Mario Balotelli, according to the Italian news agency ANSA.

The police in Verona identified this person, 38, through a video recording as one of those responsible for this behavior in the stands of the Marcantonio Bentegodi stadium on November 3 during the local team's duel against Brescia, set of the attacker of Ghanaian origin.

In addition, this sanction applies to all stadiums in Europe and also involves a ban on access to areas where Verona fans tend to stay to go to the stadium.

Balotelli was a victim in that party of the songs of racist dye by local fans, which caused his anger, reflected in violently sending the ball to that area and his threat to leave the pitch, which caused the meeting stopped a few minutes.

Last weekend, the striker was again subjected to racial abuse from the stands, this time at his own stadium, Mario Rigamonti , because of rival Lazio fans.
