It was in Sunday's meeting between Modo and Djurgården that the guest Allie Munroe early in the second period ended in a duel with home captain Olivia Carlsson.
The former fell into the ice and in the subsequent situation the Canadian had a kick in Carlsson's stomach.
The referees did not see the situation during the match, but chose afterwards to report Munroe.
"It is a question of intentional kicking that hits the opponent in the stomach," it says in the judgment of the Disciplinary Board.
The farmyard player is remorseful.
“My club got stuck so I tried to get it and in the same sequence I used my foot to remove her from the club. My intention was never to hurt. I sincerely apologize for that, ”she says.
Munroe is now suspended in two matches.
