This year's tour featured seven stages and ended yesterday, January 5. For the next season, the idea is that the race should be increased by one stage to eight and run later, January 1-10, a season when the six-week World Cup in German Obertsdorf is the highlight. Johaug is not at all comfortable with the idea of a championship season running more races and finishing much later.
- It is important that there are not too many races. The program states that it should be eight. It's a race more than today. It is very strange to have eight races in the Tour de Ski one championship year. There must be fewer, at least one less so that there will be seven, says Johaug to NRK.
