Al-Nasr won first place in the category A men's championship in the Vice President's Cup for Cross-Country Championship, which was held for the first time in the activities of the Athletics Federation, under the initiative and sponsorship of Al-Nasr Club.

630 players, representing 22 clubs, participated in the championship that took place in Al Warqa Park, competing in four races for general, youth, junior and junior.

Al-Nasr club runner, Samir Ajwahr, managed to lead the "dean" to the first position, after he covered the race distance of 8 km, in a time of 24.09 minutes.

With 24.14 minutes, while Hatta managed to win the men's title for Category B, achieving first place on the team level.

Al-Bataeh club Abdelali Bouazai won the first place in singles competition with a time of 24.31 minutes.

Al-Ain crowned the youth title for category “A,” and Dibba Al-Hisn came second, and Al-Nasr came third, while Al-Ain dominated the first three places of the individual by Muhammad Hamid, who came to the forefront with a time of 22.46 minutes, Muhammad Atwa second with 22.49 minutes, and Muhammad Taha Ismail who came in Third place with 23.06 minutes.

Al-Hamriya won the youth category “B” after achieving the first three places, while Al-Ain won the youth category “A”, Khorfakkan won the youth category “B”, and Al-Ain won the youth’s title, category “A,” and Al-Hamriyah won the title of children, category “B” .

In the girls ’competitions, Dibba Al-Hisn ranked first, the UAE came second, then Al-Bataeh third.

The competitions and coronation of the winners were attended by: Secretary-General of the Federation of Forces Saleh Mohamed Hassan, Assistant Secretary-General Rashid Sultan Al-Ketbi, Member of the Board of Al Nasr Sports Games Mansour Al Falasi, Executive Director of Al Nasr Sports Games Muhammad Al Awar, Member of the Board of Directors of Hatta Issa Al Badwawi Club, and Secretary The secret of Falaj Al Mualla Club, Saeed Al-Ghafli, and Director of Sports Affairs at the General Sports Authority, Omar Abdel-Rahman.

A number of former stars of the game, who had previously achieved outstanding international results, were honored, led by Omar Al-Salifa, the champion of speed distances and the Asian Championship, and Mohammed Amer, the long-distance champion, in addition to the Chairman of the Referees Committee, Qanbar Mahmoud Ghuloom.

Saleh Mohamed Hassan confirmed that the tournament has achieved great success, valuing Al-Nasr Club's initiative to sponsor and launch this tournament for the first time.

The Secretary General of the Athletics Federation said in press statements: "The participation of 630 players gave the championship great momentum and strength in the field of competitions, which was demonstrated by the timing of the times between the first three winners in the four competitions." He added: "There is no doubt that the continued establishment of this tournament will enhance the local activity of male and female citizens and raise the level of competition, which will benefit the national teams."

Victory runner Samir Ajawaher clocked 8 km in 24.09 minutes.
