The Brescia-Lazio match, corresponding to the 18th round of Serie A and which ended with a 2-1 visitor victory, was interrupted for a few minutes by chants of the 'lazial' fans against local striker Mario Balotelli.

Balotelli , who momentarily advanced to Brescia in the 18th minute with a great left-footed shot, heard twice discriminatory and insulting chants from the Lazio fans and informed the referee, who interrupted the game for a few minutes at half an hour of play.

The Italian striker, former player of Inter Milan, Milan or Manchester City, stressed to the referee that it was "the second time" he heard insults from the stands, as seen in some images captured by the cameras.

The meeting stopped for the public address of the Rigamonti de Brescia stadium to make an announcement against the racist chants, while the local fans applauded and chanted Balotelli's name to support him.

Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi also asked the fans of his team to stop singing songs against the opponent. After a few minutes of interruption, the game was resumed and Lazio turned the scoreboard, until it was imposed 2-1 thanks to a double by Ciro Immobile .
