Former Brazil national team Antonio Carlos Zago has been appointed as coach of Kashima Antlers of Soccer J1.
This was announced by Antlers on the 2nd.
Zago is 50 years old from Brazil. During his career, he played as a defender in Rome in the first division of Italy and Kashiwa Reysol in J1. In Brazil he played in 37 games and scored three goals.
As a coach, he has coached Brazilian teams, including Internacional.
The Antlers have been uncrowded this season and have missed three major titles in three consecutive seasons.
