According to the VFLA press service, the initial answer was sent on December 12, however, the federation, due to the insufficient time that was provided to prepare the explanation, and in agreement with AIU, supplemented its initial answer.

On November 22, it became known that World Athletics suspended the process of restoring VFLA, as well as issuing permits for athletes to play in neutral status. This is due to the investigation of the high jumper Danil Lysenko, in which the leadership of the VFLA, in particular the resigned Dmitry Shlyakhtin, is involved.

Earlier, Angelica Sidorova said that the response of the VFLA to an open letter written to the organization by the athlete herself, as well as track and field athletes Maria Lasitsken and Sergey Shubenkov, is hard to call a reaction.
