Tottenham Hotspot Harry Kane faces a long absence after suffering a hamstring injury at the start of the London team's New Year's matches.

Kane was forced to not complete the match against Tottenham and its host Southampton, which ended with the loss of the guests with a clean goal on Wednesday in the 21st Premier League stage.

Tottenham coach Jose Mourinho announced that the captain was injured.

"I cannot, at this point, say that he is suffering from a tendon rupture or that the injury is only a slight stretch," Mourinho said in press statements after the meeting.

"Harry is not a machine, so he is not immune to injury," Mourinho added.

Tottenham, who received his seventh loss in the championship this season for eight wins and six draws, is currently in sixth place with thirty points.
