Without names like Malin Baryard and Peder Fredricsson, two Swedish equipages started in the VC jump in Mechelen. Evelina Tovek stood for the best Swedish effort and performed stable jumping. But it became a demolition and with it no jumping for Tovek and Daila de la Pommes who finally came 22nd.
Henrik von Eckermann lined up with the untrained Fancy Me and had it, not unexpectedly, tough. There were three demolitions in total and the team came to 33rd in the end.
- You always hope for more and Henrik also so clearly. But the horses must get the chance to do these rounds in order to get the experience required and be able to be effective in the end, says federation captain Henrik Ankarcrona to SVT Sport.
After the whole twelve team jumped for jumping, it was Daniel Deusser and Killer Queen who got to celebrate in the end. Deusser went out last in the jump and was flawless. With an almost three seconds better time than the second, it was also the German team that won and was able to count 20 new world cup points.
