The men's downhill race in Val Gardena, Italy, was canceled due to snow and rain and now it was run instead in Bormio, also in Italy.

Kjetil Jansrud walked out last of the seeded riders and could threaten the victory. The Norwegian opened strongly but after a miss he lost to the second interim. Jansrud went in as twelve.

Instead, home runner Dominik Paris, just like the last two seasons, was at the top of the podium.

Behind him were two other famous names - Swiss Beat Feuz and Austrian Matthias Mayer.

Felix Monsén was the best Swedish. However, he did not get to any super yoke and was 3.75 behind in goal and finished in place 42.

Alexander Köll finished 48th, 4.75 after the win.
