Fredrik Ljungberg took over the main responsibility at the end of November and was a temporary solution for Asrsenal. Whether he will return to his role as assistant coach, which he had during the start of the season, remains unclear.

Yesterday, Arsenal announced that former big player Mikel Arteta is taking over and Ljungberg's last appearance, this time, was the match against the crisis team Everton.

It was a real anxiety match which the game clearly showed. The bad half didn't offer much quality. The second half was slightly better in terms of play but none of the teams managed to score any goals.

Fredrik Ljungberg made five matches as the main manager, with European games included. In the five matches it was a victory and two crosses.

Arteta has a long playing career behind him and between 2011 and 2016 he played in Arsenal. After his playing career he has been assistant coach for Pep Guardiola in Manchester City. So he returns to Arsenal.
