Al-Ain temporary team coach, Ghazi Fahd, explained that he does not have a "magic wand" to change the reality of the "leader" quickly and that his goal at the present time is to restore confidence to the players, regardless of whether he is a temporary coach.

Responding to a question by Emirates Today about the size of the heavy legacy left by Croatian coach Ivan Liko, the coach said that he does not feel the existence of any legacy as long as the list of "leader" includes stars such as goalkeeper Khaled Issa, defender Ismail Ahmed, Brazilian Caio Canedo and Togolese Laba Kudjo.

The Al Ain Football Club has decided to relieve the team’s coach, Ivan Liko, of his position suddenly due to poor results, and appointed Ghazi Fahd temporarily until a new coach is hired.

The first test for the Iraqi coach will be the confrontation that the "leader" will face in May against Dibba Al-Hisn on Monday, in the final round of the President's Cup.

Responding to another question about how to get the team back on the right path 48 hours before the Dibba Al-Hisn confrontation, Fahd said: "Football is full of challenges even if you are supervising a training session."

He added: "We have a difficult confrontation against the leaders of the first division league and play with the defeated exit system. Without a doubt, it will be a difficult match, yet we hope to obtain a qualification card."

The Iraqi coach pointed out that his team will initially lose the services of the Algerian Abdel Rahman Mazyat and the Togolese Laba Kodjo due to the injury while he is expected to obtain a report from the medical device to identify the position of the rest of the injured players.

Coach Ghazi Fahd and Al Ain team crowned the end of last season with the reserve league title, with 58 points, 8 points behind Al-Wahda, the runners-up team.
