Before the meeting with Brynäs, Djurgården had three points ahead of the table, and thus was able to create a comfortable margin down to third place. And thanks to big play from Samantha Ridgewell in the goal, the Stockholm team managed to do just that.

Because after Djurgården took the lead 2-0 early in the second period, Brynäs took over the game in total. In the second and third period, the Gävlelaget bombed a great deal, shooting as many as 36 shots on goal, 44 in total in the match. But in spite of that, there was nothing more than a puck that made its way into the goal. And it was Erika Grahm who, from a narrow angle halfway into the second period, managed to find the gap in the Ridgewell wall.

In the third, the home team pressed hard, but it was despite Djurgården receiving a dividend by Maria Lindberg who put the final result 3-1.
