The football class between Real Madrid and Barcelona hosts ended in a goalless draw, in a confrontation that witnessed a number of controversial arbitration cases.

The decisions of the referee, Alejandro Hernandez, caused controversy between the fans of the two teams, especially from the side of the Royal Club, because of his decisions in the confrontation that took place at the Camp Nou.

The refereeing expert on BN Sports channels, Jamal Al Sharif, said that the Spanish referee counted 22 violations in the match, including at least three wrong decisions.

Al-Sharif explained that the referee deprived Real Madrid of two penalty kicks. In the 16th minute, during a corner kick, the French defender Langley raised his foot and hit Real Madrid defender Varane in the thigh.

"That's a penalty, a very clear penalty"

The referee noted that the second case was in the 18th minute when Rakitic appeared not interested in following the ball while holding the Varan shirt and preventing him from reaching the ball that was in the same region, and confirmed that the referee made a mistake when he did not count a penalty.

Al-Sharif stressed that the two cases deserve to be awarded the Barcelona players with two yellow cards, and it was surprising that the referees of the video assistant technology (Var) did not interfere to alert the main referee.

On the other hand, the arbitration expert confirmed that the decision to cancel the goal scored by Gareth Bale in the second half was correct, because defender Benjamin Mandy was offside at the beginning of the shot.
