There were two teams that have been struggling lately that met when Calgary visited Las Vegas in the NHL Ice Hockey. Vegas had not won the last five games, while Calgary had three loss matches, one of which was after extension.

Former HV71 and Västeråss player William Karlsson was allowed to both start and end the goalscoring.

The 1-0 goal came about halfway into the first period, when Vegas countered in a two-to-one position. Karlsson, who led the attack, finished on his own with a wrist shot in the left intersection.

The finishing goal was a backhand, which was a bit fortuitous looking on the outside of Calgary goalkeeper Cam Talbot's right leg.

William Karlsson also showed class in the defensive, and also played up to Max Pacioretti's 3-0 goals.

Calgary has some to think about. It was the second scoreless match for the Canadians, who failed to score in the last 130 minutes of play.
