The last qualifying match of the Blues for Euro 2020, Sunday night against Albania, will not be broadcast live from Tirana radio on Europe 1. The listeners can however follow him on our antenna.
Some French radio stations, including Europe 1, Radio France, RMC and RFI, have received a request for financial participation from the Albanian Football Federation last week to have the right to broadcast the match from the stadium. This request for "technical fees", excluding the traditional costs of installing and using the lines, was not accompanied by any explanation. It does not correspond to the practices practiced between UEFA member federations.
Through the French Football Federation, Europe 1 has tried to find a compromise so as not to deprive our listeners and supporters of the Blues of this international match. But the Albanian Federation did not wish to respond to our requests. Faced with this situation, the retransmission of the meeting will not be assured of the Tirana stadium by our special envoys, which we deeply regret for our listeners.
