Record, SM gold and World Cup gold. This is how the points queen Anna Wijk's wish list looks for her final floor season.

- It would have been a dream ending, she says.

Anyone who says that Wijk is the world's best floor player has good reason for his claim. The 28-year-old's track record, which includes, among other things, five World Cup golds, one SM gold and 100 national matches with Sweden, this weekend can also be extended by taking the total points record through the times in the women's SSL.

No own score requirements

Before Sunday's league game against Karlstad, Anna Wijk has brought 884 points from her playing career in the league. An ugly score less than the record of 885 points held by Emelie Lindström.

- I see it as a regular match, but it would have been nice to take two points so we can drop it then, she says with a laugh.

Beating the overall points record was never included on the to-do list.

- It is clear that I want to perform well in all matches and thus score points, but that is not a requirement I place on myself. The team should win in the first place, she says.

Anna Wijk admits, however, that it is special to challenge the idol Emelie Lindström for the record.

- She has always been my role model and I think is the best player. It was really cool to get to play the World Cup with her in 2009. Beating her feels honorable, and great.

Of the 884 points that Wijk accumulated, there are some that are a bit more decisive than others.

- The first match against Iksu this season nobody thought we would beat them, but we did. It's extra nice to be able to score some points against the top team, ”she says.

Remember the first point

The first point she remembers that she made in SSL was when she played with Iksu in 2008-2009.

- We played away against Övik, I think. I got an assist through free range from the corner. Then I was young, promising and happy to have the chance to take a place in the team. Today is another thing, now I will lead more and show the way, says Anna Wijk.

In 2015 it became an SM gold with Kais Mora. A gold that Wijk most of all wants to repeat this season.

- We got a good start to the season, we can win. The final loss in the spring sweated properly, but made me want to give it another chance. I have never been in better shape than now and I still have more to give.

But before that, she hopes to be part of her sixth World Cup gold in Swiss Neuchatel on December 7-15.

- We think hard on the gold, but will work for it.
