Jamaican footballer Tarania Clark was stabbed to death by a knife over a mobile phone scuffle, and Clark, 20, died in the hospital she was taken to after being stabbed.

The official Twitter account of the Jamaican Football Federation on Twitter posted a condolence to Clark's relatives and friends and enclosed with a video of the goal of the first late with the national team.

Clark played three games for her country, scoring two goals, while playing at club level with the Waterhouse team, which was carrying the badge of leadership.

Commenting on the unfortunate incident, the president of the Jamaican Football Association (JFA), Michael Ricketts, said: "We are very sad.
