Rebecca Peterson's fine form in China continues. After taking her first WTA title in a single a month ago, she followed up with her second today. Peterson defeated British Heather Watson in two straight sets, 6-4, 6-4.

First it was intended that the final would be played at 07.45 Swedish time, which was later postponed to 08.00 and 08.45. After the centercourt had not been able to dry, it was decided that the match would be moved indoors, to course two.

Once the game got underway, it was Watson who started the best and broke the Swedish serve immediately. Although the Swedish broke back immediately, she did not get up to level and noticeably frustrated, she threw the rack in the ground in the middle of the set. In the end, though, Peterson was able to break to 5-4 and then serve the set home.

Also in the second set, Watson broke Peterson's serve immediately, but again Peterson would respond by breaking back. After breaking even to 3-2, she held the upper hand and was able to serve the set home. after shaving a forehand after an hour and 37 minutes of play.

Peterson beat Watson 6-2, 6-2 when they met in Wuhan, China, three weeks ago.
