“In the agreement between me and the smiths, my payments have not been handled properly. There have been delays for almost the entire season and a few weeks ago all our drivers received an e-mail stating that payments will be delayed even further. This is a situation I do not understand at all given what they themselves have said and told from the club that their finances are so good this year, "he writes to SVT Sport.

He also accuses the smiths' chairman Tobias Spångberg of lying to the media that the payments have been handled properly until now at the end of the season.

- It is a big surprise to me that he likes this. What I know is nothing more that has dragged more than that an invoice may have been paid on the 27th instead of the 26th. What I have heard now we have paid so we are in phase right now. We have also flagged that there may be some invoices that will be delayed some day now at the end of the season, ”says Spångberg to SVT Sport.

"Have some hope"

Lindgren ran the season for the Blacksmiths and was a strong contributing cause for the gold. He also says he has received a lot of criticism for his decision to leave the club.

"To be honest (I've got) some hopes too, but I've tried to keep a professional attitude to everything and especially to the club although the disappointment has been huge around everything that has happened."

Chairman Spångberg testifies that this is not the first time they have different opinions.

How was the relationship between the club and Lindgren?

- It is clear that we have had different opinions during the year, but this is good in all workplaces. I respected his views on what he considers to be wrong. What I think is sad is the way he went about it and thought that the board made him unable to stay. And that he went out with it in the middle of the season. I respect that you have differences of opinion, but I think the way he did it was not good.

What were your disagreements?

- I don't want to go into that because some things are big for Fredrik and very small for me. Therefore, it will not be good for me to address them.

Don't want more to do with club management

Lindgren does not speak warmly about the Board of Directors of the Smederna, where Spångberg is chairman.

“It's as it is now and the only thing I'm waiting for is my payments and then I don't have to deal with this management anymore. If one day big changes happen, I may very well be interested in returning. ”

The star driver, who came fourth in the World Cup series, also points out that they should have gone on plus from their home matches. There, Spångberg says that you went a bit on the minus during the playoffs and that you easily understand the audience revenue.

- We have budgeted for just over 1000 paying people at the cash register, but if we have 3000 people in the arena it may be that 500 come in because they have some kind of sponsorship and then children and young people come in for free.

What does the economy look like overall?

- We look to make a zero result or a small minus this year. But two years earlier, we have made positive results, so I would say that the economy is under control, says Spångberg.

Do you have problems with the economy ahead of the 2020 season?

- Absolutely not.

Eskilstuna-Kuriren has previously reported on late wages at the smiths.
