After stable golf for several days, Caroline Hedwall alone had four with five holes left to play in The Colony outside Dallas.

Then the game started swaying.

Hedwall closed the closing holes three over par and the 30-year-old had to settle for split twelfth place, eight under par, and a price check worth just over SEK 200,000. This year, Hedwall has only been able to play selected competitions in the US, but thanks to her efforts in Texas, she climbed to 90th place in the annual summary and thus she has secured playing rights on the LPGA tour next year.

The rookie Cheyenne Knight won the contest at 18 under par. The American has previously only been the best 29 in the debut season, but now got a real hit and also secured her games on the tour next season.

This year's LPGA tour will almost conclude with four competitions with smaller starting fields in Asia before the tour final, which is usually played in Naples, Florida, in November.
