Chelsea swept Southampton 4-1 in the eighth round of the Premier League, which saw Arsenal beat Bournemouth 1-0.

With this win, Chelsea have 14 points in fifth place, Southampton are frozen at 7 points in 16th place, and Liverpool top the standings with 24 points.

Chelsea took a double through Tammy Abraham and Mason Mont in the 17th and 24th minutes, and the excitement of the game was increased after Southampton scored the winner in the 30th minute.

Chelsea quickly thwarted the Southampton uprising with Frenchman Ngolo Kanti scoring the third goal, ending the first half with a comfortable win for the Blues, before Belgian Meshe Pachaway wrapped up the Chelsea Festival in the 89th minute.

Elsewhere, Arsenal struggled to beat Bournemouth 1-0 with 15 points, while Bournemouth have 11 points.

Arsenal scored the only goal in the ninth minute when Brazilian midfielder David Luiz received a cross from his header.
