Al-Nasr's Dutch coach Verslain said he was delighted to be back in the Arabian Gulf after many years in Abu Dhabi, noting that he had not hesitated to accept the job when asked to do so. "We didn't have enough time to prepare for Al Dhafra, and we studied it in the last two meetings and played two very strong matches, but we have a group of players who can win."

Al Nasr will meet Al Dhafra in the third round of the Arabian Gulf Championship at Al Maktoum Stadium next Thursday at 6:30 pm, in the first Dutch coach to lead the team succeeding Brazilian coach Caio, who was sacked after the loss from Ajman.

The coach added: "I was no stranger to the team and I saw all their previous meeting, and it was easy to deal with the players and focus on all the details that have affected the team in the defensive and offensive side, the situation was not difficult to deal with them, but difficult because of the lack of time before the next game is Identifying the problems that the team is suffering, we are currently trying to overcome the difficult period and win, especially as any dismissal of coaches affect any team.

Verslain said he has the experience to deal with the team and the league games because of the long time he worked here in the UAE, explaining that the small period before the game was focused only on technical aspects, not physical aspects.

He concluded by saying that he was sure that victory had a great future and that he had great players.
