The World Cup in Qatar begins September 27 and lasts for ten days. Now figures indicate that it will be decided for partially empty stands.

According to Aftonbladet who spoke with experienced athletics manager Daniel Wessfeldt, the organizer counts no more than 7000-8000 spectators on average per day, despite the arena devouring 48,000 people.

- On August 29, 22,000 tickets were sold in total, Daniel Wessfeldt told the magazine.

The figure is comparable to the London World Cup, where 660,000 tickets were sold a week before the championship. If the trend continues, according to Wessfeldt, there are plans to close the upper floor of Khalifa Stadium to concentrate the audience on a smaller number of stand sections.

It is important to emphasize, however, that there is still almost three weeks left for the Doha World Cup. In other words, there is still time for the audience figure to improve.
