Damallsvenskan was back after a long national team break. Linköping came into play without injured Nilla Fischer but well with Lina Hurtig and Stina Blackstenius on top. But national team players despite that, it was instead Växjö that started the spike.

After only seven minutes played, Emmi Alanen had a free kick clock in the bar and shortly thereafter Mimmi Strömgren took advantage of a poor touch from Emma Holmgren in Linköpingskassen and acquired a completely open position in front of goal. Strömgren somehow managed to miss the goal cage and Linköping came away with the mere horror.

The hopper decided

In the 66th minute, the home team had another ball in the goal frame when Nellie Karlsson tested the shot far away. Linköping was not without chances but once the situation came, Erin McLeod stood in the way. 78 minutes into the game, Mimmi Strömgren was substituted for Violah Nambi. On a nice pass Ria Öling, Nambi was able to outwit Emma Holmgren in the Linköpings goal and shoot the victory to the home team.

The victory means that Växjö leaves the bottom trio behind with nine points down to Limhamn in tenth place.

However, Linköping loses even more in the top and still has nine points up to leading Rosengård.
