It has been difficult for the all-newcomer AFC Eskilstuna. The team is second to last in the series, with only three wins in 22 matches.

Now the club management is acting. Today, they announced that Nemanja Miljanovic is leaving the job as coach, to return to the job as sports manager instead.

- Together with the Board, we have agreed that it is the right place to make such a change. Hopefully this will give more energy to the group, in an important end to this season, he says on AFC Eskilstuna's website.

"Must focus on details"

New coach will be 63-year-old Saulius Sirmelus, who is most recently from Shakhter Karaganda in Kazakhstan's high-profile. On the track record he has, among other things, as a league and cup champion in Lithuania and two cup titles in Latvia.

- Now I will try to do my best for that team. I don't think it's time to make big changes. I think we need to focus on details, so we can stay in Allsvenskan. It feels good, says Sirmelus.

Academy coaches become assistant

The club also gets a new assistant coach. His name is Saulius Cekanavicius, he is 50 years old and most recently comes from a job as an academy coach in Latvian Ventspils.

- For me it is a big challenge. Previously, I worked twenty years and played European Championships every year. Now it is a new challenge for me and now it will be exciting with a challenge that will hopefully be successful, he says.
