While the national teammates compete in the European Championships, Armand Duplantis won the pole jump competition in the World Challenge competition in Berlin. The victory height was 5.80 which Duplantis took in the second attempt.

After that, the competition had to be canceled due to bad weather, so there was no attempt at higher altitudes for the Swede, says Radio Sports.

American Sam Kendricks managed the same height, but only in the third attempt, and finished second. Trea came the pole Piotr Lisek at 5.70.

The victory is something of a revenge for Armand Duplantis who lost the Diamond League final last Friday against Kendrick's.

Duplantis had to struggle to reach the high altitudes of the storm in Berlin and had demolitions of both 5.50 and 5.70 (two) on their way to victory.
