MADRID (Reuters) - Felipe Coutinho has signed a loan deal worth € 8.5 million to Bayern Munich for 2019-2019, the club announced on Friday. "This agreement also includes a final purchase option by Bayern for 120 million euros," the club said in a statement.

"The Brazilian international underwent a routine medical examination on Sunday and signed his contract," Bayern said.

"For me, this move represents a new challenge in a new country with one of Europe's most prominent clubs.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, chief executive of the Bundesliga champions in the last seven seasons, congratulated his team on the deal. "We thank Barcelona for accepting the transfer offer.

The Catalan sports daily Sport on Monday criticized Brazilian player Coutinho, the story of a major disaster.

The 27-year-old joined Barcelona from Liverpool in 2018 for 120 million euros, in addition to 40 million in incentives.
