Anna Nordqvist showed off a mixed compote on the third day of the US golf tournament in Scotland. Six birdies but also four bogeys became her face in the 69 round. She is a total of eight under par and is in 14th place in a competition topped by Thai Moriya Jutanugarn at minus 16.

Nordqvist is the fifth of the five Europeans in the world rankings to receive a place in Europe's Solheim Cup team, which is selected on Monday and should clinch its place.

It is more difficult for Caroline Hedwall whose jojo game continues in Scotland. After 65 and 74 strokes, the first two rounds became a 70-round third day. Hedwall played stable with a bogey and two birdies and a total of 209 strokes, four under par. However, there were no major changes in terms of placement, she is in 32nd place for the final round.

Linnea Ström is doing well too

The first three at the European rankings have a place in the Solheim Cup team and Hedwall is second. Trea is the Dutch Anne van Dam who plays really well, she is fifth. The only one who could cut Hedwall out of the top three is Celine Boutier, France, but she is one hit after Hedwall with a day's play left for the draw.

In the shadow of the big Swedish names, Linnea Ström played brilliantly and had, among other things, an eagle, two under par, on the 16th hole. Her 68 strokes brought her to an 18th place, seven under par.
