The calls from Toulousans Jerome Kaino and Lucas Pointud, who contested their respective suspension of five and four weeks, were rejected, announced Thursday the EPCR, organizer of the European Cup. The first remains suspended until December 2, the second until November 25.

The independent appeal board found, like the one at trial, that Kaino deserved a red card for his shoulder load on Jamie Roberts against Bath on October 13 (22-20), a move for which he had a simple yellow card.

Shoulder load yes, disloyal no

Stade Toulousain challenged "vehemently" this first decision taken, believing that it was based "on any observable (clear) element and obvious of an act of unfair play" and that it was "on feelings and not on proven facts " .

The club also found, with regard to the sanction of Pointud, suspended for hitting with the shoulder the head of the pillar of Bath Nathan Catt, that "the grounds of accusation evoked seemed questionable" .
