Karolina Pliskova, 8th in the world, clinched her ticket to the semi-finals of the Singapore WTA Masters, winning Thursday's Czech duel with Petra Kvitova, 5th overall, 6-3, 6-4.

This is the first time the 26-year-old dominates her compatriot, who is eliminated with no win in three games in the white group of this tournament, bringing together the eight best players of the season. The two Czechs will be on the same side of the court in the Fed Cup final against the United States (10-11 November).

In this group, Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark, N.3 world later opposed to Elina Svitolina (7th), is sentenced to a victory two sets to zero to prevent the Ukrainian to accompany Pliskova in half.
