Saudi Arabia qualified for the semi-finals of the Asian Cup in the UAE with a 2-0 win over Lebanon in Saturday's Group B match.

The first half ended with Saudi Arabia advancing with a goal by Fahd Al-Muallad in the 12th minute, and in the second half Hussein Ali Al-Mekhoi added the second goal in the 66th minute.

The Saudi team lifted their lead in Group E to six points, while Lebanon remained scoreless in last place.

On Sunday, Qatar will face Qatar in the second round of Group A with North Korea. Qatar won their first match against Lebanon with the same result.

Saudi Arabia are looking forward to winning the continental title for the fourth time in their history, the first since the 1996 edition.
