Anyone who thought that Real Madrid had overcome its crisis with the promotion of Santiago Solari as head coach was wrong: Table-13. SD Eibar defeated Real 0: 3 (0: 1) and was even lucky not to have conceded more goals.

Santiago Solari
For Solari it was the first game as official head coach of the club. He had taken over the post on an interim basis in October after Real had previously separated from Julen Lopetegui. Under Lopetegui, the team had won only four of the first ten league games, after a 1-5 draw against Barcelona, the coach had to go.
Under Solari, who had previously coached Real's second team, it seemed to be going up. After four wins in four competitive matches and a goal difference of 15: 2, the Argentine was promoted.
