The Italian, ranked 18th worldwide, won Sunday the most beautiful trophy of his career by beating the Serbian Lajovic 6-3, 6-4.

Italy's Fabio Fognini (18th in the world) won the most beautiful trophy of his career on Sunday at the Masters 1000 in Monte Carlo, beating Serbian Dusan Lajovic (48) 6-3, 6-4.

After eliminating the king of clay Rafael Nadal in half, Fognini has won the 9th title of his career, the first in Masters 1000.
