"The reasons for the decision to reject the IOC appeal in this case were not disclosed, but since the 28 CAS decisions are similar, the IOC will not appeal on the remaining 27 cases," the organization’s press release says.

At the same time, the IOC noted that they reserve the right to reopen these cases if new evidence is found.

“We are disappointed with the decision of CAS to reject our appeal of April 23 last year in the case of Russian skier Alexander Legkov. The IOC received the first motivation parts for athletes in April 2018, after which it was decided to appeal the first of them, ”the message reads.

The IOC said that the appeal in the case of Legkov had to be filed anyway, as it was necessary to take all possible measures to protect the pure sport.

Earlier it was reported that Pavel Kolobkov will discuss with the bobsledist Alexander Zubkov his disqualification.
