After leaving Vernouillet last Saturday (35-29), the Cherbourg will be opposed to CPB Rennes in the round of 16 of the Coupe de France scheduled for the weekend of December 15 and 16.

While the Mauves coach, Nicolas Tricon, had expressed the wish to meet the Nantes HB, his team will finally meet a new team of National 1. After Vernouillet leader of his group, the CPB Rennes seems of the same caliber since the Breton club currently occupies second place in his N1 group.

A draw all the more lenient since Cherbourg could have fallen on Starligue formations as Cesson-Rennes, Dunkirk, Tremblay and Nantes, present in his hat before the draw.
