After six years with Yann Eliès, Quéguiner decided to continue the adventure with Tanguy Le Turquais. The Finistere group wishes to give a chance to a young talent and accompany him at the highest level. Next year, with the arrival of a new boat (Figaro Bénéteau 3) on the Figaro circuit, his ambassador will be Tanguy Le Turquais.

"Our goal is to give a skipper the best means to develop his project and to express himself at the highest level on the demanding circuit of Figaro Bénéteau," explains Bertrand Quéguiner, the project manager for the sailing project within the Quéguiner Group. made the choice of Tanguy Le Turquais.

"We have received many applications, all of great quality, and we really want to thank all the skippers who have applied. Initially, the choice was really not easy but in the end, it appeared as obvious. Tanguy is young, talented and friendly. He is also a very good communicator and we feel that he wants some. One of the other reasons that led us to Tanguy is the change of media. The Figaro 3 will, in fact, reset the meters a bit and it seems to us that it is a well-crafted boat for the former Ministries " , notes Bertrand, very attached to the meaning of the human relationship, the very one who has was the base of the adventure between the Quéguiner Group and Yann Eliès between 2012 and 2017 with the successes that we know (success in the Solitaire du Figaro 2012, 2013 and 2015, and 5th in the Vendée Globe 2016-2017). "Once again, the idea is to build a long-term project , " says Bertrand who, for the record, has already ordered a Figaro 3 to participate in all the races listed in the calendar of the class in 2019 (renewable contract).

"I warmly thank the Quéguiner Group for trusting me. I am really touched and I will put everything in place to honor this choice, " says his side Tanguy Le Turquais who has already expressed his talent on the Mini 6.50 circuit, winning twice the title of French Champion of the race Offshore in 2014 and again in 2015, after systematically registering the podiums of all the races in which he participated, including the famous Mini Transat (3rd in Series boats of the 2015 edition).

"My experience of Minist can be an asset with the arrival of Figaro 3 which will reset the counters. With Groupe Quéguiner, we can do beautiful things, I'm sure. This is a huge opportunity for me. I live a dream, even if I still have a little pressure to pass after Yann Elies! " Jokes the 29-year-old Lorient, who has been on the Figaro Bénéteau circuit for two years now (he finished 5th in the Solo Normandie, the 5th event counting for the 2018 French Elite Offshore Racing Championship, at the beginning of the month. ), and who will make every effort to progress ... and perform.

At the end of August in Le Havre, Tanguy Le Turquais will start his second Solitaire Urgo le Figaro (17th in 2017) at the helm of Everial for the last edition of Figaro Bénéteau 2.
