A week after the setback in the derby against Brest (2-3), a new big test awaits FC Lorient, Friday night (20 pm), against FC Metz. The technician Lorient Mickaël Landreau hopes a rebound of his players against the leader of the championship of Ligue 2. Interview.

After the setback in Brest (2-3), it's another big piece on the menu with the leader messin. In what state of mind do you approach this meeting?

There was a big disappointment, individual and collective, after Brest. We put a lot of energy. Collectively, we made an interesting match. We lose more on individual mistakes. We showed a real face, it was important. So we are in a state of mind to deliver a big match against the one who makes an exceptional start to the season. Because we're going on some amazing stuff, even stronger than last year. And not only from a team. Last season, we would be 2nd at 3 points from the first. There, it's different. We, we must stick to this wagon of three which is impressive. It's new a big game to play.

Is there more pressure before receiving Metz after the last defeat in Brest?

After Brest, yes. We want to react, not to accept defeat and to rebound. In addition to the first, a rising contender. That's what we want. We have what it takes to offer something interesting. There is pressure at every match. When you have ambition, the pressure of the result is present at each meeting. But the season is very long. We are in our season, I like the state of mind of my players, what they release, it works. But we are in sport, in a relationship with the opponent. We lost a match, we made mistakes. But from what I feel is that my players have their heads up and fully defend the project of the club. Stop being in this permanent pressure! We tend to always see more green in the opponents. We win 4-1 (against Nancy), that's not enough. Me, I saw that at half-time in Brest, they lost 2-1 and I did not hear that it whistled. Maybe tomorrow we will take a goal, but I would like us all to be behind and encouraged. We need to be together. A season is not a long calm river. I have never lived in all my career.

Is victory more or less obligatory Friday against Metz?

What do you want me to say to you? That I do not want to win? Frankly, knock down Metz and return to 3 points of the leader, I would prefer. But it's still a showdown against the best team in the championship right now. It's a great match to play. We want to exist, to win, we will prepare for. I trust my players. But it will not be the end of the championship whatever happens. I do not see the negative side. Of course I would prefer to skate ahead and win all my matches and be 15 points ahead. Today is not what we are. Yes, the pace is very demanding and hard. But we want to fight to take up the challenge. The derby was a failure, but to grow, you need it too. It's up to us.

Do not beat Metz would be a little hard psychologically?

I do not prepare like that. In this case we stop, we do not go to fight and we do not do high level sport. I'm very happy to play Metz tomorrow and glad we can once again have a great match. We will do the accounts tomorrow at 10 pm And I think the Brest match will serve us.

You have conceded more goals in recent weeks. Could the hierarchy of guards (Petkovic number 1, Meslier number 2) be questioned?

Already, taking goals is not only in connection with the goalkeeper, even if it is important. I have to decide, make choices. It's up to me to judge, to make the best choices. And I'm not saying it's impossible for it to happen. But, what matters to me is to analyze well. The day I think it's the right time (to change the guardian), I'll do it.

A word on your messin opponent of tomorrow?

It's a big team that is not first by chance. There is a lot of power with a game that revolves around Renaud Cohade. It's a pretty complete team.
