Philippine boxer midfielder Mani Pakayawo of the WBA showed glimpses of his illustrious past, having dominated the fight against American Adrian Brunner, to beat the consensus of the referees last night in Las Vegas.

The 40-year-old Pacioo - the world champion several times - was faster than Brunner, 29, more effective in the game, dominating all the rounds to beat his opponent, who bravely defended and remained steadfast despite a torrent of powerful punches.

"I am very happy, the Lord gave me this gift at the age of 40 and I still have the best performance," Bakayo said after the victory.

"I do not believe that my career is over," he said.

"I defeated him and everyone knows that," Bronner said, "but he controlled the win when he was the one who wasted the punches.

Bakiyo won huge financial prizes after winning the race, and sources predicted his total profit would reach $ 20 million.

Veteran legend Floyd Mayweather was in the midst of speculation that he was still going back against Pakayo.

Mayweather, who was unbeaten, beat Pakayo in 2015.

Mayweather refused to comment on the possibility of facing Pakayo again, but the Filipino boxer looked bold and told a television reporter "told him to return to the circuit and then we will face ... I want to face him if he wants to return to boxing."
