At the award ceremony of the Ballon d'Ors, it came on the stage to a scandal. The Olympique Lyon footballer Ada Hegerberg was voted the best player in the world at the first women's poll.

When she had finished her acceptance speech and left the stage, she was interviewed by one of the presenters of the evening, the musician and DJ Martin Solveig. Instead of questioning Hegerberg about her footballing achievements, Solveig simply wanted to know whether she could "twerk", that is, dance with her hips while dancing.

Obviously shocked by the question, Hegerberg replied only "No" and turned away. There was a murmur in the audience.

Martin Solveig really asked Ada Hegerberg, the first ever Balloon D'Or winner, to twerk. The absolute disrespect bruh. pic.twitter.com/Mtc5DBjS7a

Earlier, Hegerberg had seen the balloon d'or for women in a emotional statement as a big step for women's football. At the end of her speech she addressed young girls worldwide: "Please believe in you," she said.

The French DJ Solveig tried to save the situation with a loud laugh. Without success. The superimposed footballer Kylian Mbappé looked incredulous. Despite the fact that a short time later Hegerberg agreed to a normal dance with Solveig, the action on the social networks caused outrage.
