Also in the 2nd Bundesliga are Monday from the season 2021/2022 on the history. According to the German Football League (DFL) the clubs agreed "by a large majority". This was preceded by discussions on the tendering of national media rights from the season 2021/2022. According to DFL, the decision was made on Monday at "an intensive discussion and exchange of views on various topics" in Frankfurt. The dialogue on structural and content issues will be continued in January.
Only at the end of November, the Bundesliga had decided to abolish the Monday games. In the highest German division, the five games per season to be distributed on Sundays.
The second division also decided in Frankfurt for the 2018/2019 season, the establishment of a solidarity fund of 1.8 million (for three drop-outs) and 1.2 million euros (with two descendants).
