Kim Kyung-Du, vice chairman of the curling competition of Korea, who was caught up in the controversy with the appeal of the team curling 'Team Kim' who won the silver medal at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games, apologized and declared "I will withdraw from curling."

Kim Kyung-doo, a former vice-president, apologized on April 4, saying, "We have been very disappointed and worried about the players and the people because of the appeal of the women's curling athletes affiliated with the Gyeongbuk Athletic Association.

"I especially sincerely apologize to the athletes for the great injuries they have caused by the immaturity of my expression," he said.

Kim teammates sent a letter of appeal to the Korea Sports Council, Gyeongbuk province, and Uesong-gun last month, and they were unfairly treated by Kim Kyung-doo, his daughter Kim Min-jung and his son-in-law Jang Bokseok.

The players also insisted that Kim was personally blamed for hearing rumors.

Kim said, "I and my family will withdraw from the curling line from this point on."

He said, "I have been looking forward to Curling for 25 years, with the sacrifice of my family and friends, and for the development of curling. I have never been able to look around. "He said.

It is clear that we are leaving the curling world as well as the position of Tim Kim.

Former vice president Kim and vice-president Kim and Chang have been jointly audited by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korea Sports Council, and the Gyeongbuk province after their appeal.

Kim said, "I will be faithful to the ongoing audits."
