United Kingdom: Prime Minister Rishi Sunak challenged by many Conservative MPs

In the United Kingdom, the Prime Minister is facing the most serious crisis of confidence from his MPs since the beginning of his mandate. Rishi Sunak is trying to convince his troops that his law to make Rwanda a safe country, and thus relocate the asylum system, will reduce immigration, which is a promise of the government. A vote of no confidence is no longer ruled out in the event of defeat.

Today, the British Conservative Party (the Tories) is made up of at least four different factions, and they seem irreconcilable. In the center, there are the moderates, the One Nation deputies. There are more than a hundred of them, including two ministers, and for them, it is out of the question to breach the UK's international commitments in terms of human rights. They think the law is too radical.

But their number (about sixty) could cost the government its majority.
