The Saudi Defense Ministry said on Saturday that its air force and its US counterpart carried out air exercises to enhance their combat capabilities, in which both sides used the latest fighter jets.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Defense, the Saudi Air Force's F-15-SE fighter system, along with the US B-1 Lancer strategic bomber, participated in the exercises.

In a tweet on its Twitter account on Saturday, Saudi Arabia added that during the exercises, live ammunition was used to destroy simulated targets in the shooting range.

The Saudi armed forces, represented by its four branches on land, air, sea and air defense, with the participation of forces from the GCC countries and the United States of America, continue to carry out the joint exercise "Eagle Resolve 23" in a number of regions of the Kingdom.
